Moving to Brooklyn was something Jules Laguna never saw coming. The young Chicago native had travelled to Williamsburg on a whim, feeling as though he was entering a new chapter to his life completely blindfolded.

Julian Matthew Laguna was born to Francine Marks and John Laguna September 23, 1987. John, a successful record producer who created countless One Hit Wonders, and his wife, a middle school teacher from downtown Chicago, happily welcomed their baby boy into the world. The two were quite the odd couple, always bringing the humor to parties and being their quirky selves- two traits in which their little boy would develop quickly. By four years old, Jules was already outspoken, bitterly humorous, but of course, this was not acceptable in preschool. Often put in the corner for disruption, Jules went through a whole lot of tantrums, his mother always whining about how disappointed he was in her son.

Before Jules could become any more poorly behaved, he was enrolled in a private school which started at Kindergarten and didn't end until eighth grade. Julian, unsure of what private school was really like, went without a fight in his uniform. Naturally, he caused trouble instantly, getting demerits by the dozens. The little boy had been so roughly disciplined at school that by second grade, he'd calmed down after much medication. Francine had figured out her son, who really was a good boy when he wanted to be, had been undergoing all of these conflicts at school because well- he hadn't been diagnosed and treated for the amount of mental illnesses he had possessed. Bipolar and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder really did effect the boy's daily life but once medicated, Jules had become almost robotic.

At this young age of seven, Julian watched as home life became more and more unbearable. John and Francine fought almost every hour about the silliest things- though behind closed doors, Jules was their main argument. John, who had always been a bit careless with responsibility, refused to see his child's illnesses. He scolded his wife for putting him on medication in the first place, arguing Julian had been robbed his free-spirit personality. It only took a few more months until Julian was moved into a different house with his mother, only to see daddy on weekends.

Living with a mother who taught middle school during your middle school years could be nothing short of a horror. Julian was constantly being guided by Francine who was now hosting after-school parent meetings against drugs (focusing on weed of course) and alcohol. The other kids didn't pick on him for this. Julian had begun to hide his medication from his mom, assuring her that he did take it. Of course, he hadn't. Jules was the most popular kid in his seventh and eighth grade years for being well, misbehaved but quite the cutie. He knew he was attractive, taking full advantage of this at a young age. By eighth grade, he'd made out with three quarters of the girls in his grade...which was a whole lot. Teachers complained about him, his mother finding out and scolding him regularly. Weekend punishments were rare due to the fact he'd meet up with his dad- when his father was around that is.

John Laguna's career was only becoming more and more successful. He had made millions on various artists and was constantly traveling. Julian begged for his father to take him under custody but because of the constant movement, he refused his son, assuring him when he got older he'd appreciate all the work he'd done. Jules just sulked and enjoyed the time he did have with his father.

In his older years of High School life, Jules was in public school- though he rarely showed up. He had rebelled completely against his stick-up-the-ass mother who constantly tried to push pills on him. Ironically, every week she'd speak about the dangers of Marijuana and other recreational drugs while running an anti-drug after school program for children in the Chicago public school district. Little did she know, her free sprit son was hiding behind the gym lighting up. When he'd get to see his father, the two of them would put on cartoons and enjoy a father son bowl. Francine was completely blind to her son's downfall-

Julian was sleeping around quite a bit, the attractive teenager taking full advantage of his bad boy front. He drank weeknights with his other careless friends and began experimenting. It became almost regular for Julian Laguna to be high or drunk. It wasn't long before Francine noticed her son's change in character. At eighteen years old, Francine ordered her son to move in with his father; Jules was an embarrassment to her and disappointed her completely. Julian was excited to live with his father. Every morning consisted of a few hits with his pop and by the evening, friends would flock in the living room to snort lines or drop acid. John just turned his head, too busy with the music industry that was unstably flopping up and down in the success department. Laguna Inc. was still booming, John giving his son a job and letting him travel around with him. Schooling was a thing of the past. For years, the two were unstoppable, Jules just throwing his life away more with drugs and alcohol though he believed he was fine due to his perfect career spot. A label was open not too long after his 19th birthday, his gift being the position of head of A&R. Laguna Inc. was huge almost instantly, John having built such a name for himself. 90% of the job, in Jules opinion, was partying. John didn't mind his son's habits, as long as they had fresh talent to keep them moving. Julian attended plenty of shows and still does to keep up with the ever changing trends.

It wasn't until he turned twenty one that Julian decided he wanted to expand his "career". He decided he wanted to move to New York: Williamsburg, the up and coming artist community where he knew he could get lots of new talent and well... plenty of drugs. The rich and pretentious yet overactive and drunken boy set off on his adventure, promising his father he'd be back for constant visits. John agreed, truly caring less of what his son really had to say. Julian moved into a pretty large apartment by himself, decorating quite nicely and allowing it to be "party friendly". He made friends almost instantly, attending gigs at Shockfest in hopeset he'd find the next big band. He'd become a socialite of Williamsburg, always at shows surrounded by girls and flaunting his money while of course, being silly and unbelievably outgoing.
